Where are you located?

Our Creative Lab is at 25 Liberty Street, Toronto (look for the yellow door on Atlantic Ave), in Liberty Village.

Is there parking?

Limited free parking on-site available upon request, plus paid street parking nearby. We’re also a short walk from TTC and GO Transit stops.

Is your space wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately, it isn’t. There’s a small, 3 step staircase at the entrance and washrooms are located one level downstairs. The space we’re in was built in the dinosaur ages when accessibility wasn’t a consideration. A real heartbreaker, we know!

Question 4

Would it be okay for me to bring my child to the event?

Ooh that depends. If you’ll be holding your swaddled bundle of joy while participating that should be a-okay. We can give you a private space behind the scenes for breastfeeding if needed. If you’re hoping that your kiddo can participate in an adults workshop, it might get tricky depending on the duration of the event, age of your child, whether alcohol is present, etc. Probably best to drop us a line and we’ll explore options with you.

Question 5

Any place to store bulky items?

Indeed! Over the years, people have opted to store everything from suitcases, to strollers, to a crate of puzzles and everything in between. Let us know when you arrive for the event and we’ll do our best to tuck those items away so that you immerse yourself in the experience.

Question 6

How far ahead should we book?

Accepted Answer

Private bookings require at least 10 days. But between you and I, you’ll definitely want to get your booking in much earlier during our busy seasons (Nov-Dec and Feb-Mar).

Question 7

How does payment work?

Accepted Answer

You will be sent a deposit invoice for 50% of your event. The deposit invoice allows you to secure the date and get the ball rolling. You will be billed for the remaining amount on the day of the event. If your organization requires a different payment schedule, let us know.

What kind of payment options do you provide?

We accept e-transfer for amounts up to $700. For bookings above $700, you have the option to pay by Visa, Mastercard, or electronic funds transfer. Receipts are provided shortly after payment is received.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

You would never know it, but it takes an incredible amount of behind the scenes work to put on an amazing experience just for your group. So the truth is - all private bookings are non-refundable. But, if at least 14 days’ notice is provided, we’ll do our best to find a suitable alternative date, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made within 14 days of the event may not be accommodated.

I’d like to make a reservation for just me and my special someone.

That’s so sweet and we’re so glad you thought of us to make things extra special. Private bookings require a minimum of 8 guests or $650 spend. But you don’t need a crowd to get the chocolate magic — our public workshops are made for exactly this. Check our upcoming workshop dates and grab two seats.

What do I do if I won’t know the guest count until shortly before the event?

We so appreciate you organizing an event for your people. Oftentimes it can be tricky if you’re waiting to see what interest looks like. Our best suggestion is to book based on the minimum number of people you expect to register. But please remember, we have a no cancellation policy.

Most experiences are 12+. Kids’ parties start at age 4.

How long do events run?

Our events are about 2 hours on average, but can be slightly longer depending on the experience. Shorter express versions exist for some workshops — ask us.

What about allergies or dietary needs?

Accepted Answer

Okay - we want to be as transparent as possible. Our lab processes eggs, peanuts, milk, tree nuts, sesame, soy, and wheat so we cannot guarantee no cross-contamination. But we can offer allergy free options. Tell us before booking and we’ll talk through your options — including non-dairy chocolate choices.

Can we bring our own food or drinks?

Yes, absolutely! Feel free to bring in your own eats and non alcoholic drinks. Just let us know if you’ll need extra tables. We have a list of local catering options that we can share as well. If you’d like to have alcohol served at your event, we’ll walk you through the process.

Do you do off-site events?

Yes — Illusions, Chocolate Kintsugi, Truffles, Chocolate Painting, and Specialty Canvas experiences can come to you, anywhere in Toronto!

Would it be possible to have extra time in the space before or after our event?

Accepted Answer

Yep, depending on our schedule this is absolutely possible for a nominal hourly fee.

Can I have a custom theme for guided painting or kid’s painting parties?

For sure, we’d be happy to work with you to create a painting theme the group will enjoy doing. Any themed decorations will need to be brought in by you though. We’ll handle the painting fun and you handle the Swiftie balloons.

Cheaper isn’t the same as better — and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. Here’s what your money gets with us: during your booking, our space is yours and yours alone. No sharing the room, no getting rushed out for the next group. What you don’t see is the hours of behind-the-scenes prep that make your event feel effortless — that’s the whole point, you shouldn’t have to think about a thing. And we don’t do cookie-cutter: people leave our events calling it legitimately one of the most fun, memorable things they’ve done, and that’s not an accident, it’s the job. If the lowest price is the whole decision, we’re probably not your people. But if you want your group still raving about it on Monday morning — that’s us.
